Gluten sensitivity and Coeliac disease: A seminar led by Michael Ash DO,ND, ND BSc.8th of June
I am really looking forward to attending this seminar on Saturday put on by the National institute of Medical Herbalists postgraduate training board at the University of London. Many patients complain of a wheat intolerance with IBS like symptoms but have been tested and do not appear to have coeliac disease. Michael Ash describes gluten sensitivity in terms of a clinical spectrum ; and will be talking about the immunology of the mucosal tissues and how to address this type of inflammation. I heard Michael Ash at The NIMH conference last year and found his talk on nutrition and its role in Chronic, Non-Infectious Disease really interesting . He has a way of being able to translate complex biochemical concepts into plain English and focused on ways in which to make practical dietary and treatment plans to combat the underlying causes….. I will update here with the key learning points!
